In order to integrate into the labor market in Germany, one of the most important prerequisites is to be able to speak German. Finding a job with social insurance without knowing German is very unlikely. Furthermore, in order to find an adequately paid job, it is of great advantage to be qualified for a certain profession through jobtraining (Berufsausbildung).
Recently, The Justice Project has met some valuable collaborative partners through exchange meetings and has been able to make helpful connections for adequate support of survivors of human trafficking. This has opened up new opportunities for trafficking survivors and we are excited to see what other opportunities the future holds.
We are very grateful that five of the women who live in our shelter successfully participate in a German language course by one of our cooperation partners that offers vocational orientation and labor market-related language support with the aim of placing refugees in the labor market. Through this project, survivors of human trafficking get the chance to learn German, do an internship at a desired job, improve their chances of getting a place in job training (Berufsausbildung) and meanwhile have the offer of childcare so they can learn without distraction. We are happy that the survivors of human trafficking are taking the first steps towards long-term employment and that we can accompany them in this process.
