Mary and Faith came to Lithuania from Kenya two years ago - they both were looking for some way out from the critical situation in their home country, both had to feed and sustain numerous family members and parents.
Women arrived to Lithuania through Egypt as the recruitment agency that took care about the employment and the travel looked for the cheapest routes.
After their arrival Mary and Faith were immediately transported to the remote place in the outskirts of Vilnius and closed there in a local sewing shop. The whole year women were exploited in this place working and living in slavery conditions. They were released only during the joint raid of the Lithuanian police and Labor inspectors. Mary and Faith immediately were recognized as victims of Human Trafficking. Alas after several months the pre-trial investigation was cancelled due to the lack of evidence.
Today both Kenyan women are building their lives from the very start in Lithuania - they work and try to master up their knowledge in computers, language, they want to know more about the country and its people. Faith has a dream to open a small business herself.
